Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 6, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Azkari (أذكاري) ("we", "our", or "us"), a Chrome browser extension, handles user information. We are committed to maintaining the highest standard of privacy and security for all our users.

2. No Personal Data Collection

Azkari values your privacy. The extension is designed with a strict zero-data-collection policy:

  • We do not collect, harvest, store, or transmit any personal information.
  • We do not track your browsing history, web activity, or search queries.
  • We do not collect location data, IP addresses, or device identifiers.

3. Local Storage and Data Persistence

Any data related to your use of the extension (such as preferences, theme settings, font size scaling, daily dhikr progress, and Quran reading streaks) is stored entirely locally on your device using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API. This data remains on your machine and is never uploaded or shared with us or any third parties.

4. Use of Permissions

The extension requests only the minimum set of permissions necessary to function:

  • Storage: To save your progress, habits, and app settings locally.
  • Alarms: To calculate precisely when to show morning and evening adhkar notifications.
  • Notifications: To display desktop alerts reminding you to read your daily supplications.
  • Tabs: To allow you to launch the extension in a full-tab view when clicked.
  • Scripting: To display a clean, non-intrusive overlay modal of a random dhikr on your active page as configured in your settings.

5. Third-Party Sharing

Because we do not collect any user data, we do not sell, trade, or transfer any information to third parties under any circumstances.

6. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be updated on this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
